When we’re at the scene we automatically text our CT tech and let them know that we’re at the scene and there is going to be a body for scanning and then we usually give her 24 hours….Then we bring the body back to our office, to our lab area, we do the blood draw, we do all the examinations, take all the pictures…If there is organ and tissue donation we schedule that. We then zip the body back up, put them into the cooler, and then within the next 24 hours they are scanned. After they’re scanned, Emily sends that off to Dr. Elifritz and then we usually get that back, within 2 – 3 business days…. .– Patty Schachtner (CME St. Croix County)
